See your recommendations
What you can do
The For You tab at the far left of the navigation at the bottom of the screen shows exhibitions matched to your taste, based on the exhibitions you’ve marked as Visited and the exhibitions and venues you’ve added to your Favorites.
There are two tabs:
- Similar — based on your Visited exhibitions, this shows exhibitions with a similar feel, up to 8 at a time in a horizontal scroll
- For you — based on the tags of your Visited exhibitions, this suggests exhibitions likely to suit you
At the top of each tab you can also switch the sort between Nearest and Recommended (“Nearest” is only available if you’ve allowed location access).
You need to log in to see your recommendations (Google or LINE).
How to use it
- Tap For You in the navigation at the bottom of the screen
- Switch between Similar and For you with the tabs at the top
- Tap any exhibition card that catches your eye to open its detail as an overlay
Just like on Favorites, you can add an exhibition to Want to go with the heart icon on its card. Exhibitions you’ve already marked as Visited are automatically removed from your recommendations.
Adjust what’s shown in Settings
From the Settings link to the right of the heading, you can open Recommendation settings. There you can prioritize tags you’re interested in or hide tags you don’t want, tuning your recommendations yourself.
Common stumbling points
- It says “Here are exhibition picks just for you” and asks you to log in — Recommendations require logging in. Tap the “Log in” button to log in, and you’ll be taken right back to the For You screen
- It says “Record an exhibition you’ve visited and recommendations will appear here” — Want to go alone doesn’t generate the Similar or For you lists. Once you mark at least one exhibition as Visited, they’ll start to appear (How to mark an exhibition as Visited)
- The “Nearest” button can’t be tapped — Location access isn’t allowed on your device. See When location can’t be obtained for how to allow it
- It says “Recommendations are being prepared” — Your recommended exhibitions are still being prepared. Please wait a while and open the screen again
